Thank you very much for the article about Casanova And i must thanks Doina Popoviciu (we were in High school together some time ago) for the opportunity to discover it There is a moment in wich you speak about don Giovanni, or Don Juan as only an imaginary hero wich of course is true . It hapens that I admire very much the don Juan of Moliere because I think that trhu his don Juan, Moliere give an idea about the link between the search for ideal love as the search for ultimate (or absolute) knowledge , both off limits (if I may say so) Don Juan never leave a woman, she is not able to keep him It is not a collection of women He looks for the woman he dreams in al the women he seduces Because he must understand what he feels and where does he belongs He accepts even to go in hell to find what he is looking for And another thing about this prticulry Don Juan : his meeting with the beggar Very short but for full of something wich still makes me wonder : he gives the piece of gold to the beggar not from heaven's love but from love for mankind. Strange that people are still mistaken Casanova, real but so livrescque (sorry I could not find the english word) and don Jun so human in his irreality. Thank you for your time . Yours , Adrian Banateanu MD
