Million Dollar Training

“You can take my factories, burn my buildings, but give me my people and I will build the business right back again.” – Henry Ford.
Profit Starts With People
A company’s life can be so full of demands, bureaucracy, and obligations that it sometimes forgets its purpose—simple, but not easy: to generate PROFIT, that is, MONEY!!!!!!
And profit and money are generated when a certain value is created that people are willing to pay for.
Why Technology Is Not Enough
But in a hyper-technological world where everyone has the same machines and uses the same technology and the same processes, a company’s greatest asset, as Henry Ford said in his famous quote, is its PEOPLE.
A company’s people must be able to create value.
And value can only be created by people of value!
Creating Value in a Competitive Market
I honestly don’t believe that training—any training—can, on its own, create people of value. There are so many variables at play that it’s nearly impossible to take them all into account.
But, of course, in a world moving toward absolute standardization, the only difference—your company’s true capital—is the people you have and who work with you.
And well-designed training—that’s for sure—can provide that “extra edge” that makes a real difference in an employee’s performance, boosts your team’s results, creates added value, and ultimately gives you a competitive advantage that translates into higher profits—in other words, more money. This money, in turn, will translate into greater power to conquer the market, make investments, deliver a better product, and so on.
Training and Competitive Advantage
When a concept is important, I don’t shy away from repeating myself, so I’ll say it again:
-transactions worth millions of euros are made by people;
-buildings and cathedrals are built by people;
-computers are programmed by people;
-services are provided by people;
and so on.
As I’ve said before, today every company has the same technology and the same processes as the others.
The Cost of Ignorance
But if a competing company has better-trained and more valuable people, THAT company will handle your transactions, THAT company will build your apartment buildings and cathedrals, and THAT company will sell you its software and services.
To quote another famous saying: “If you think training is expensive, think about how much ignorance costs you.”
Choosing the Right Training Program
Not all training programs are the same, and I’m aware that—especially these days, when the training boom has exploded and the selection is extraordinarily vast—it’s very difficult for decision-makers to make a truly good choice.
As someone directly involved, of course I can’t presume to give advice.
Seeing Trainers in Action
But, of course, I invite you to Training 07, where the country’s best trainers will gather and where, beyond the advertising, brochures, certificates, statements, and promises, you’ll have the chance to see firsthand how a particular trainer actually works and whether what they have to offer aligns with your company’s needs.
If you truly care about your company’s success, if you’ve truly realized that people are the only ones who really matter, if you truly want to make more profit and earn more money, well… I’ll be waiting for you!
